New Japan Chapter Coordinator

7 Jun 2019 12:30 | Nico de Wet (Administrator)

Dear Japan Chapter Members,

It's almost weekend. Hang in there.

While you do so, I would like to take the opportunity to happily inform you that the new Japan Chapter Coordinator and Deputy Japan Chapter Coordinator have been decided.

It's my pleasure to congratulate Jonpaul Opara Nnamdi and Enora Le Borgne.

Based on my interaction with them thus far, along with the new branch managers across Japan's regions, it is clear that the Japan Chapter has been blessed with very talented and energetic leadership. The rest of the Executive is looking forward to working with them, learning from them and excited to see what impact they will be making in their term of office.

However, they can only be as good as you enable them to be. So please join and support their initiatives. We are all because of each other.

Kind regards,

Nico de Wet

Chief Executive Officer

It is my honour to announce that the Board of Directors has approved the appointments that the Deputy President and I have submitted to it for the positions of Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). I would therefore like to congratulate the following applicants.

COO: Ahmed Sakr

Deputy COO: Ahmed Osman

CFO: Weldon Siele

Deputy CFO: Patrick Githongo

Honestly, we were deeply impressed by the calibre of the applicants who have applied for these positions. As a result, we had to invest a substantive amount of time conducting and debriefing multiple rounds of interviews.

The decisions were not easy, but I believe with these appointments we have managed to bring in new blood, with extensive professional experience outside the organisation, as well as retaining members who have track records inside KA, understanding the internal dynamics and challenges facing the organisation.

We will now schedule a workshop with these new officers to finalise the structure and positions for the rest of the Executive Management. We hope to announce the opening of applications for these positions by early next week.

Thank you for your patience! We really want to make sure we have the best possible team to take Kakehashi Africa as far as possible forward in this new term. Please bear with the process a little bit longer.
